Dear
Families,
Happy December 1st! Can you believe it?! It sure doesn't
look or feel like it just yet, but we're in the midst of the 'most wonderful
time of the year!' Students are happily buzzing about their Santa
letters, lists, elf on the shelf, parades, and our upcoming holiday concert. It’s going to be a busy, yet productive
month!
Santa Leads the Way to
Empathy
Who better than Santa to
understand the feelings and needs of others!! This month the character trait is
Empathy. To help reinforce this trait, we are asking our Nottawa students to
think about others, especially the people who may be visiting My Friends' House
(Womens’ Shelter) this holiday season.
Exciting NEWS!! Santa will be visiting
our school on Fri. Dec. 22nd during 1A & 1B which is 10:40 to 11:20am.
We are asking students
to bring in 1 donation for My Friends’ House from the wish list that is
posted around our school (also, see list
below).
All items must be new
and unused. Children who support “My Friends’ House” will get the opportunity
to give their donation to Santa on Dec. 22nd.

Assembly:
Our class will be leading this month’s character
recognition assembly which will be taking place on Thursday December 21st
at 9:15 a.m. All families are welcome to
attend! Mark it down into your
calendars, you won’t want to miss this exciting event! We are working hard in class to prepare for
this and are having so much fun being performers!
Social

On Thursday, students brought home their completed log
cabins to share with you. Aren’t they
great?! They worked so hard on these
during their time with Mrs. O who is teaching Social Studies for the school
year. I would like to give Mrs. O a BIG
THANK YOU for providing my students with this meaningful and FUN learning
opportunity! We are ever so grateful for
your kindness and generosity. WE HONOUR
YOU! Check out the completed cabins below J
Sienna:
Thank you Sienna for working so hard on your Provinces
& Territories research project! You
did a great job presenting your information about Alberta. You served as a positive role model and have
inspired your peers to think and learn more about Canada! Super work :)
