Dear Families, Yesterday, we had a school spirit day - sports jersey day!  A lot of staff and students participated with enthusiasm and school pride. We truly have amazing students, staff, and families! Thank you ALL for demonstrating spirit everyone!  I loved seeing all the different jerseys everyone was sporting! Check out our class below :) Kups for Kids: I would like to send out a big thank you to Mrs. Calvert and her team of volunteers for coming to our school on Wednesday to run this meaningful event for our students. Your time, organization, and kind nature is appreciated and we all had fun while thinking about the feelings of others who are in need.  Check out all the smiles of the children!! Dear Families, Can you believe we’ve already completed our second week of school after the break?!  It is zipping by!  Not surprisingly for our class though as we’re having so much fun learning and growing together!  Have I shared just how lucky I am to be your child’s teacher?  Being in this position is truly a dream come true for me :) Have a great weekend! Procedure Presentations: I’m sure many students came home sharing with you all about the tasty treats they consumed from watching and listening to their peers' procedural writing presentations.  I would like to thank all my families who took the time and energy to work with your child on this and to provide food samples for our whole class.  It meant a lot to us and when we evaluated the recipes, I heard a lot of 10 out of 10 or 5 stars!  Delicious!!  I am proud of my students who took great care in this assignment as it has helped them develop a greater understanding of writing a procedure.  Enjoy the sweet pics! 

Dear Families, It is with an open heart that I wish you all a Happy New Year!!  It was an absolute highlight for me seeing your child's bright, enthusiastic, and warm smile on Monday!  I am delighted to be reunited to continue our journey of learning and growing :)  I do hope you continue to access my classroom blog weekly as I will continue to provide detailed evidence of what your child is doing at school so that you too can help reinforce these concepts at home. Together we CAN and WILL make a DIFFERENCE in your child's academic progress!
